Police from several Camden County communities converged on an apartment complex in Lindenwold Tuesday after a man pointed a gun at a detective.

It happened just after 9:30 a.m. at the 800 building of Arborwood Condos on 511 Gibbsboro Road.

Police say a detective saw a man acting suspiciously in front of the complex. The man began walking away with hands near his waistband.

When the detective tried to stop him, the man fled on foot toward the rear of the complex.

The detective pursued him, and at one point during the chase police say the man pointed a handgun at the detective.

Officers from Clementon, Laurel Springs, Pine Hill, Strafford, and a K-9 team from Voorhees descended on the scene looking for the man. He was never found.

Police are looking for a black man, 20-25 years old, approximately 6'2" tall. He was last seen wearing a bright orange t-shirt, black pants, and black and orange sneakers.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Lindenwold Police at 856-784-7566or 856-784-4800.
