It happened just after 7:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Snyder Avenue.
Police say a 29-year-old man was shot in the back of the head while he was behind the wheel of his car causing his vehicle to crash.
Police arrived to find that he was shot a total 8 times.
He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with critical injuries.
Police believe they are looking for four males who fled the scene.
