Man caught on tape in Cedarbrook CVS theft

CEDARBROOK - August 29, 2012

At 5:00 p.m. on August 11, the man entered the CVS pharmacy located at 1600 Wadsworth Avenue.

Cameras captured the man as he picked up multiple items before leaving the store without paying, and while fleeing the store he grabbed a woman's purse.

The man then entered a stolen Ford Explorer and fled the scene.

Shortly after police were notified, officers located and attempted to stop the Ford, however it managed to escape.

The Ford was located a short time later after being involved in a crash. The suspect was seen fleeing the scene of the accident on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years-of-age, 6'1", thin build, wearing dark sunglasses, a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
