Mold delays South Jersey school's opening

SOMERS POINT, N.J. (AP) -September 5, 2012

Their start of classes is delayed after mold was found in the Jordan Road School in Somers Point.

The school is due to reopen on Monday unless more mold is found.

Superintendent Jeff Miller tells The Press of Atlantic City the mold was initially found in the media center on Aug. 31. An environmental consultant discovered it had spread.

Mold can irritate eyes, skin, nose, throat and lungs.

Officials at schools in Middle and Upper townships also had to clean up mold before the buildings reopened.
