$10,000 stolen from Phila. McDonald's safe

PHILADELPHIA - September 12, 2012

The robbery happened at 5:10 a.m. on August 29th at 2809 Cottman Avenue.

In surveillance video released by police on Wednesday, the first suspect is seen buying food then sitting at a table to eat.

A short time later, the second suspect enters and heads for the bathroom. He then comes out with his face covered and armed with a silver and black handgun.

The two men then go behind the counter and, police say, force the shift supervisor to open the safe.

They stole $10,000 before fleeing the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 20 years of age, 6'0" tall wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with Adidas on the front, blue jeans, and a beard.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 20 years of age, 6'0" tall, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue pants, and gloves, armed with black and silver handgun.
