Shotgun robbery suspect caught on camera in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - September 13, 2012

Investigators say the man walked into the Peralta Grocery store in the 2800 block of Memphis Street on August 14th at 9:50 a.m.

He was carrying a shotgun hidden under a green cloth.

The man approached a store clerk, pointed the weapon at him and demanded money.

After the clerk complied, he fled east on Ann Street with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was on foot.

Police have released the following description of the suspect seen in the surveillance video:

Hispanic male, 5'7?, scruffy beard, tattoos on his left arm, dark green shirt with a white T-shirt underneath, and blue jeans. The suspect was wearing a black baseball cap with a silver bill and an "Obey" emblem which was left at the scene.

Police say if you see the suspect, you should not approach him, but instead call 911 immediately.
