Man pleads guilty in eastern Pa. bar slaying

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) - September 19, 2012

Twenty-one-year-old Marc Arnold of Allentown entered the plea Tuesday to an open count of homicide in the April 2010 slaying of 25-year-old Kevin Cobbs Jr.

A hearing before a Lehigh County judge will determine the degree of the crime.

Defense attorney Christopher Shipman told The (Allentown) Morning Call that he will seek a voluntary manslaughter conviction.

Prosecutors said the two men argued in the parking lot and Arnold opened fire on Cobbs, who fled back inside the restaurant and dove into the kitchen, where he died.
