Truly the city that never sleeps

NEW YORK (AP) - September 20, 2012

College freshman Jesse Scott Owen has only been in New York for three weeks.

But he was knocked cold by a flying futon.

He was on his way to class at Kings College when the lights went out for him.

When he came to, people told him he had been K-O'd by a mattress.

Witnesses tell the Daily News the futon fell from a nearby roof 30 stories high.

Owen was taken to a hospital to be treated for neck and back pain.

He can laugh about it now and says it's all "pretty absurd."
