Evacuations ordered around Bucks Co. tanker crash (PHOTOS)

Chopper 6 HD was over an overturned tanker truck that caught fire on Route 611 in Tinicum Township, Bucks County.

Evacuations have been ordered in Tinicum Township, Bucks County after a tanker truck crashed and caught fire on Monday morning.

The accident happened along Route 611 (Easton Road) near Tohickon Valley Road.

The evacuations have been ordered in a one mile radius of the scene.

Those being evacuated are being taken to St. John's Rectory located at 4050 Durham Rd.

Chopper 6 was over the scene shortly after the crash occurred. Fire crews are still trying to extinguish the flames coming from the underbelly of the overturned tanker.

A sedan with clear front and driver side damage is disabled in the middle of the road a short distance away from the truck. However, at this time there is no word on what led to the crash.

There are two reports of injuries but no word on their conditions.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
