South Jersey woman dies after burglary

WOODSTOWN, N.J. (AP) - October 18, 2012

Janet Rankin called police after she returned to her home in Woodstown early Wednesday morning. Police determined the home had been broken into.

Public Safety Director Cris Simmermon tells the South Jersey Times the 54-year-old exhibited cardiac arrest symptoms soon after.

Rankin was taken to a hospital and died.

Police are gathering evidence and no arrests have been made.
