Police: Shot fired during Phila. store robbery

PHILADELPHIA - October 19, 2012

Investigators released surveillance video on Friday of the September 28th robbery at Ray Food Market at 5401 Girard Avenue.

According to police, the man entered the store at 10:24 p.m. and waited for customers to leave.

Once they were gone, the man entered the cash register area and fired a shot from his handgun into the floor while demanding money.

The suspect then took an undetermined amount of cash and fled in a car, possibly a Toyota Camry, driven by a black female with another black female inside.

The suspect is described as a black man, standing 6'2", 200-220 pounds. He had a full beard, 20 years-of-age, wearing a dark colored jacket, dark colored pants, gray and black Nike sneaks, and a Raiders hat with white stripes.
