Judge: Trial in dismembered teen death can go on

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (AP) - October 23, 2012

Attorneys for 32-year-old Laquanta Chapman sought more time to prepare but a Chester County judge said Monday that it's time for the trial to begin nearly four years after disappearance of 16-year-old Aaron Turner.

The Daily Local News of West Chester reports Judge William Mahon ordered jury selection to begin as scheduled Wednesday with opening statements likely Monday.

Investigators say Chapman forced Turner into the basement of a Coatesville home with the help of two other men, stripped him naked and shot him multiple times before dismembering and disposing of his body. Turner's remains were never found.
