The shooting happened around 5:15 p.m. in the 2000 block of Dennie Street.
Police say a 36-year-old man was found shot in the neck and shoulder on the street.
He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police believe the shooter fled in a black pickup truck with an open cab, tinted windows and chrome rims.
