How Sandy victims in New Jersey can vote

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - November 4, 2012

State officials announced that any displaced residents will be designated as an "overseas voter."

An application must be sent in to their County Clerk's office in order to qualify.

Residents can also e-mail or fax an application in and an electronic ballot and waiver of secrecy form will then be sent back.

Ballots must be returned by no later than 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Meantime, New Jersey will also have trucks set up with paper ballots at polling places without power on Election Day.

If you're unsure where you're nearest polling place is located, you can find out by texting your address to 877877 and the information will be sent back to you.
