Fire damages several homes in Tioga-Nicetown

TIOGA-NICETOWN - November 19, 2012

The fire broke out around 3:15 a.m. on the 3800 block of Archer Street.

Fire crews arrived to heavy fire showing on the first floor of a house.

Officials say the resident was able to get out of the house safely.

It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the fire under control.

Several of the neighboring homes were damaged and the Red Cross was called to help with displaced residents.

So far, there is no word on what sparked the blaze.
