Police say an 85-year-old woman was hit by a vehicle just before 7:00 p.m. on Stenton Avenue and Murdoch Road. The car took off without stopping.
The woman who is believed to be from the neighborhood was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police say they are looking for a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
It may be black or dark green in color with a possible PA tag of HXX-4362.
