Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman said Monday one of the women suffered a heart attack after Friday's assault, another had bleeding on the brain and the third had a broken shoulder. The sisters range in age from 84 to 90.
Authorities say 22-year-old Dereck Taylor Holt pretended to be an insurance salesman to get inside the Clay Township home, then bound the victims, hit them with a stun gun and sprayed the home with household chemicals. Investigators say he railed against religion during the attack, reading passages from their Bible then destroying it.
Holt remains jailed on $1 million bail.
