The call came in around 8:30 pm. Monday for a report of an unconscious woman in the Woodbury Court Apartments at 240 South Broad Street.
There police found 54-year-old Ramona Johnstone with multiple stab wounds.
She was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Police say Johnstone lived alone. There is no word on any suspects in this case.
