Beneficial Bank bandit caught on camera in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA - December 18, 2012

It happened at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Beneficial Bank branch in the 800 block of East Allegheney Avenue.

Police say a man presented the teller with a threatening demand note, took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

The man was caught by two surveillance cameras.

Police have released the following description of the suspect:

Black male, 30 years-of-age, 5'10", 200 lbs, light complected, wearing dark colored coveralls, purple baseball hat with an orange brim.
