It happened around 12:45 Sunday morning on the 100 block of Sherwood Place in Woolwich Township.
Arriving crews were met with heavy fire shooting from the second floor of the home.
Additional help was requested. However, firefighters were hampered by a lack of fire hydrants in the area.
Tanker trucks from neighboring towns were called in to help supply water.
The flames were placed under control and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
