The incident happened at 2:30 a.m. along the 1600 block of Pratt Street.
Police say a fight broke out in the street just outside the Bridge and Pratt Cafe.
The fight moved down the street where there was an exchange of gunfire.
According to officials, a 24-year-old man was shot in the head and killed inside a nearby home.
Authorities told Action News that the murder victim may have been the intended target because the home was riddled with bullets.
So far, the police have made no arrests.
