Police search for suspect in 2 Del. robberies

Delaware State Police are looking for a man they believed committed two robberies on Sunday.

Police have linked 45-year-old Robert L. Alley to both robberies.

Police say the first robbery occurred at a Wawa at 1 Salem Village Square in Newark around 2:45 a.m. They say Alley approached a cashier and demanded money, implying that he had a gun.

According to police, Alley fled on foot after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

The second incident occurred at the Hibachi Express in the 4500 block of Kirkwood Highway just after 7:00 p.m.

Police say Alley walked behind the counter in the front of the store and opened the cash register. He was approached by a male employee and implied that he was armed.

Alley removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register before fleeing.
