Bucks Co. man sentenced for illegal explosives

WARRINGTON, Pa. - January 4, 2013

John Grzyminski, 50, of Warrington, was sentenced to 30 months in prison on Friday, in addition to three years of supervised release.

He was arrested in May after an incident that required a response from the bomb squad.

Officers were called after his mother said she felt threatened by Grzyminski. Police left but his mother then found a pipe bomb on her kitchen counter.

Police returned, along with the bomb squad. Officers found two additional pipe bombs in an upstairs bedroom and bomb-making materials in the garage.

After his arrest, Grzyminski allegedly told police he made the bombs to hunt bears and he also like to throw them into lakes for entertainment.

He also allegedly told police he made the bombs over a 12 year period.

Grzyminski pleaded guilty to the charges in September.
