Authorities in Northern California report they found an alligator in the home of a pot suspect.
Alameda County deputies say the five-foot gator was there to protect the stash.
Assif Mayr was busted following a probation check at his house.
Deputies charge he had 34 pounds of processed, dried pot.
He's being held on $160,000 bail.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports the alligator was taken to the Oakland Zoo, to be treated by a veterinarian.
