Philadelphia Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man they believe robbed a convenience store in the Kensington section of the city.

Police say a man walked into the Pena Grocery Store at 701 West Butler Street around 4:45 p.m. on January 3rd, pointed a gun at the employee and demanded cash from the register.

Police say the employee opened the register and filled a bag with cash.

The gunman forced the employee to the rear of the store and fled on foot with close to $700 cash.

Police released a surveillance photo hoping someone can identify the robber.

He is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic man around 20 to 25 years old, 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt with brown designs, blue jeans and a black mask.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia Police at 215-686-TIPS.
