Investigators say the man stopped a 24-year old woman on Absecon Boulevard Monday night.
The suspect, dressed in what appeared to be a police uniform, told the woman that he was working a detail and needed to search her car.
The victim told police the man searched her car and then left. She did not get a good description of the car, but provided a sketch for police.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6' tall with a skinny build, blonde hair and brown eyes. He was clean shaven wearing a navy blue shirt that appeared to look like a police uniform.
