Delaware State Police were called to Foulk and Silverside roads shortly before 9:30 a.m. in Talleyville.
There, police discovered a car and SUV collided injuring all three people, including a child, inside both vehicles.
A female driver was transported to Christiana Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Another female driver and a child in a car seat were also transported to Christiana Hospital with minor injuries.
Police are looking into heavy fog being the cause of the accident.
