First, remove any old paper, backing or supports that may be on the frame and wipe it clean. The key to the great look is the chunky frame so when I found this one for less than five bucks I knew I could get the look for way less!
Have a piece of mirror cut to size to fit the opening of the frame, I had this piece of eighth inch mirror cut for twenty dollars.
Lay the frame face down on a flat surface any gently tilt the mirror into place. Use glaziers points to secure the mirror in place.
After the mirror is secured, add a piece of cardboard the same way, cut to size and secured with glaziers points. This will give the mirror some added stability and cushion.
For a mirror this size you should use "D" hooks to secure the hanging wire in place - they're stronger and steadier. Measure down from the top the same distance on both sides and screw the hokos in place.
Add your hanging wire and flip it over - can you believe how great this looks - just like the expensive version for less than thirty dollars! I'm Mrs. Fixit and it's just that simple!
