It happened around 1:00 Saturday afternoon on the unit block of Munionfield Road.
Crews reported heavy black smoke showing from the garage upon arrival.
However authorities believe the fire started near the main part of the residence.
The flames were brought under control shortly after 2:00 p.m. and no injuries were reported.
A cause for the fire remains under investigation.
