Crews were called out to West Plumstead Avenue shortly before 7:00 a.m. after a driver lost control and slammed into a tree.
It took rescuers approximately 15 minutes to free the driver who was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
There's no word yet on the driver's injuries nor any word on what caused the crash.
