Driver cited for Salem County bus crash

UPPER PITTSGROVE TWP., Pa. - February 16, 2013

Twenty of the 27 children aboard the bus were treated at hospitals for minor injuries following Tuesday's crash in Upper Pittsgrove Township. The driver of another vehicle involved in the crash was treated for undisclosed injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

State police at the Woodstown Barracks tell the South Jersey Times that the bus driver, 51-year-old Robert Sheridan of Willamstown, was driving students home when he allegedly made an improper left turn.

A pickup truck then collided with the bus, and the impact pushed the bus into another pickup.

The driver of the second pickup was not injured.
