Northampton County Judge Emil Giordano earlier this month ruled against former Lehigh University graduate student Megan Thode, who wanted the grade raised to a B and was seeking $1.3 million in damages.
The (Easton) Express-Times says attorney Richard Oloski filed documents Monday asking the judge to either reverse his ruling or grant his client a new trial.
Thode alleged that the grade in a 2009 graduate-level therapist internship course was retaliation because she supports gay marriage, and it has prevented her from becoming a licensed therapist. The teacher testified that Thode's behavior in class hurt her grade.
