Wet roads blamed for South Jersey crash, 2 ejected

WASHINGTON, TWP., N.J. - April 5, 2013

It happened just before 1:00 a.m. at Chapel Heights and Pittman Downer Roads in Washington Township, Gloucester County.

In a preliminary investigation, police say 23-year-old Robert B. Solice was driving a 1998 Ford Taurus heading westbound on Greentree Road.

The vehicle crossed over the center line and as Solice tried to go back, his car slid out of control striking a guardrail and utility pole.

Solice and two other passengers were ejected with two victims landing in a nearby ravine.

Two of the victims were taken to Cooper University Trauma Center in critical condition. The third victim was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
