4 injured, including police officer, in Bucks County accident

WEST ROCKHILL TWP., Pa. - March 7, 2013

The incident happened just before 8:00 p.m. on southbound Route 309 at Lawn Avenue.

Officials say two Pennridge Regional police officers were assisting the driver of an RV which had been partially blocking the roadway.

Police say that is when another vehicle struck one of the patrol cars. The impact sent that patrol car into the other police vehicle, which struck one of the officers.

Three people inside the striking vehicle were injured. There is no word on the extent of their injuries.

The police officer struck by the patrol car was taken to a local hospital, treated and released.

The incident is under investigation.
