Authorities say a driver will face charges after his truck hit a ditch and crashed on a snow-covered road in central Pennsylvania, spilling 17 tons of processed human waste.

Pennsylvania State Police say the accident happened early Wednesday in Antis Township, Blair County. They say the 27-year-old driver hit a ditch, flipped over and spilled its cargo into a nearby marsh.

The driver was treated for minor injuries and charges against him are pending. The Department of Environmental Protection responded to the scene to supervise the cleanup.
