Frankford shooting leaves man critically wounded

FRANKFORD - March 9, 2013

It happened along the 1600 block of Dyre Street shortly after 9:30 p.m.

Investigators say the man was shot in the neck inside a third floor apartment.

Police say when they arrived three men tried to leave the scene through a window, but the officers were quick to make the arrests.

"We had a female inside the property who was a witness who said that a 19-year old male was in fact the shooter," said Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Medics rushed the victim to the hospital where he's listed in extremely critical condition.

Investigators say cocaine and marijuana were also found at the scene of the crime.

The shooting remains under investigation.
