Fuel truck catches fire at Philly airport

PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - March 11, 2013

The Philadelphia Fire Department was called out around 8:00 p.m. for the report of a fuel truck on fire at the airport.

Officials say the truck caught fire next to a US Airways plane at the "F" terminal.

The cab of the truck caught fire, not the fuel in the tanker.

There were no injuries.

US Airways says the plane was not damaged.

Earlier in the day, another US Airways plane was on the taxiway when a trailer being towed by a pickup truck broke loose and became wedged under the plane.

The trailer held a 300 gallon plastic tank labeled "jet fuel."

Emergency responders eventually determined that tank was full of water that had been siphoned from fuel tanks.
