Suddenly Frugal Blogger Leah Ingram says anniversary freebies are a win-win for restaurants and their customers.
She explains, "If you're going into a restaurant on your anniversary, you're definitely bringing a guest, which I'm thinking means twice the number on the check, which is probably very good for the restaurant's bottom line."
To get the freebies, you'll need to sign up for the restaurants' email clubs. Ingram suggests having a dedicated email box for the offers.
She advises, "Set up a Gmail account and that way, all of this information is going to a special email. You're not going to get spammed, but you are going to get to take advantage of the freebies and coupons that show up in your inbox."
Seems the restaurants consider anniversaries time to indulge. Most offer desserts.
Ted's Montana Grill and Romano's Macaroni Grill offer a choice of dessert freebies. At Ruth's Chris, you'll get chocolate cake. And at The Melting Pot, you'll get chocolate-dipped strawberries. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse changes up their anniversary freebies from year to year.
"The last time i talked to them," Ingram says, "It definitely was a box of chocolate truffles. Last year, it was an appetizer. Who knows? It might change to something else. So you don't actually know what you're going to get from them, but it's worth signing up."
