Christie visits school reopened after Sandy

STONE HARBOR, N.J. - March 20, 2013

Teachers, students and faculty at Stone Harbor Elementary School returned to the facility last week.

They had been at a school in Avalon since after the storm hit.

Governor Christie said the storm did $25 million worth of damage to schools across the state.

Of the eight schools heavily damaged by Sandy, Stone Harbor was the first to reopen.

Christie said he expects many of the boardwalks and beaches at the Jersey shore to be back open by Memorial Day.
