Four stabbed in Cherry Hill nightclub brawl

CHERRY HILL, N.J. - March 31, 2013

Police say it was around 2:10 a.m. Sunday when a fight broke out between two patrons on the dance floor at the Top Dog nightclub in Cherry Hill.

Security attempted to break up the fight, but others joined in.

During the course of the fight, one of the security guards, Robert Dellaquila, was stabbed in the left leg.

Other security guards were able to subdue the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Daniel Skillings of Sicklerville, New Jersey. He was turned over to responding police.

Police say Skillings not only injured the security guard, but also stabbed three other patrons who were involved in the fight.

As a result of that larger fight, another security guard, Kevin Gamage, was punched by an unknown suspect and sustained broken ribs.

All four stabbing victims were treated for their wounds at local hospitals and released.

The three patrons were treated and released from Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro and Dellaquila was treated and released from Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

Gamage was treated for possible broken ribs and later released.

Skillings was transported to police headquarters for processing and was subsequently remanded to the Camden County Jail in lieu of bail.

He is charged with Aggravated Assault with injury (4 counts), Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
