It was around 3:35 p.m. Monday when two cars collided on the unit block of Hunt Meet Lane in Garnet Valley.
The force of the collision caused one of the vehicles to overturn, taking out a live PECO transformer.
Crews freed one person who was placed on a stretcher and taken by ambulance to an area hospital.
PECO was called to the scene to turn off the power. 860 customers were without power for approximately an hour due to the accident.
