Car crashes, lands on its side in Cheltenham Township

Police say a driver crashed a car, landed on its side and knocked down a utility pole in Cheltenham Township, Pennsylvania early Wednesday morning.

The accident happened just before 3:30 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Old York and Church Roads.

The car landed on its side, taking down a pole and some wires after crashing.

Police say the unidentified driver was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

Crews on the scene blocked the road to investigate and a tow truck arrived to remove the vehicle..

PECO was called to the scene to repair the down wires.

Motorists should expect delays in the area.
