Man arrested for assaulting South Phila. store clerk with beer bottle

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - April 4, 2013

The incident happened Sunday night inside the Beer Haven craft beer store on South Columbus Boulevard.

Police say Robinson became upset during a dispute over a purchase.

He was led out of the store by a friend but then returned to throw a beer bottle at an employee.

Robinson then pulls out a gun and kicks the employee, police say.

He then leaves the store with his friend through the strip mall.

Police say the suspect turned himself in after seeing surveillance video on local news stations.

Robinson is from the 2900 block of West Nicholas Street. He is charged with aggravated assault and other related offenses.
