Woman falls 100 feet into ravine at Bucks Co. park

NEWTOWN, Pa. - April 10, 2013

The Bucks County Courier Times reports it happened at Tyler State Park around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Northampton Fire Company Chief Adam Selisker says the woman was hiking with her sister and went off the trail when she fell. Her sister called 911.

Firefighters had to lower a rescue basket and ropes as part of a rescue operation that took about an hour.

Investigators say the accident happened about a half-mile from where a community college student was injured in a 200-foot fall last week. He is recovering from his injuries.
