Twenty-five-year-old Kurt Yeager was found unresponsive inside his cell at Graterford State Prison around 2 .m. Sunday. Officials say corrections staff responded, but were unsuccessful in attempts to revive him and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.
State police say the death was likely a suicide, but Trooper Gerald McShea says authorities are still investigating the cause and awaiting toxicology tests. Montgomery County Coroner Walter Hofman did not return messages from the Bucks County Courier Times.
Court records show Yeager had pleaded guilty to a burglary charge in May.
