Phila. officer injured during foot chase in Hunting Park

HUNTING PARK - April 14, 2013

It all started around 8:00 p.m. Sunday on the 400 block of Blavis Street.

The officer pulled over a maroon Camry to conduct a traffic stop.

Authorities say the driver of the Camry stopped, got out of his vehicle and ran.

During the foot pursuit, the officer reportedly fell and was injured.

The officer was transported to Temple University Hospital where he was treated and released.

The suspect is still on the loose. Police have not released the reason for the traffic stop.
