Teen driver waives hearing in death of Limerick jogger

LIMERICK, Pa. - March 21, 2013

Jackson is charged with the hit-and-run death of 40-year-old Merinda Thompson of Royersford on March 4th.

Prosecutors say Jackson was high on marijuana and texting while driving when he hit the mother of two, who was running along Lewis Road in Limerick Township.

He was arrested March 21st and charged with Homicide By Vehicle While Under the Influence, Homicide By Vehicle, DUI, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and related traffic offenses.

Jackson is due back in court in June.
