Target recalls cookware for breakage hazard

Target is recalling some popular cookware because handles are prone to break and could cause a hazard.

So far, Target had received about 40 reports of its Giada De Laurentiis Ceramic 9" x 13" Inch Lasagna Pan or its handles breaking or cracking during normal use. Cuts and lacerations were reported in 6 of those incidents.

Nearly 149,000 of the Giada De Laurentiis Ceramic 9" x 13" Inch Lasagna Pan were sold at Target and at target.com from January 2009 through October 2012 for about $22 as a single piece, or between $35 and $50 for the six-piece sets.

Customers should stop using the pans and return them to any Target store for a full refund. If the pan was bought as part of a set, you should return only the 9" x 13" pan.

You can call Target guest relations at (800) 440-0680 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, or visit online at www.target.com, click on Product Recalls at the bottom of the page and then select Home & Kitchen.
