Brutal assault suspect seen on video in North Philadelphia identified; still at large

NORTH PHILADELPHIA - April 29, 2013

The incident happened at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17th in the 1700 block of Diamond Street.

Philadelphia Police say 25-year-old Domenic Pesce of the 1500 block of Locust Street in Philadelphia is the man seen in a heated argument with a 20-year-old man.

Police say Pesce suddenly punched the 20-year-old in the face, then punched another person who tried to intervene.

The video shows a group surrrounding both men and then Pesce appears to kick someone on the ground before calmly walking away.

Police say the 20-year-old man suffered serious injuries, including a broken jaw.

Pesce is described as six feet tall, 180 to 190 pounds with short, dark-colored hair and a tattoo on the back of his right arm.

Police say Pesce lists a secondary address in the 200 block of Montgomery Drive in Mantua, N.J., and is known to frequent the Temple University campus.
