Fire breaks out on SEPTA train in Ardmore

ARDMORE, Pa. - May 2, 2013

Crews were called to Haverford Road and Ardmore Avenue around 2:45 p.m. for the report of a possible fire on the SEPTA Norristown High Speed Line.

The smoke was reported to be in one of the train cars after the brakes caught fire.

The train was evacuated.

The fire department was able to get the situation under control.

The NHSL resumed service just after 4:00 p.m.
